“If I have learned anything in this long life of mine, it is this: in love we find out who we want to be; in war we find out who we are.” – Kristin Hannah
Leadership is synonymous with the work environment, but if we are leaders at work, what are we at home? Some us might wonder: “But am I a leader at all?” since it may be difficult to view ourselves at leaders, even at work.
Leaders are the go-getters with successful businesses and families, the risk takers, the spotlight seekers, the work all-day-and-night examples – But, ARE THEY REALLY?
The simple truth is that anyone can – and should – lead. The question is HOW. I’ll share with you my 10 principles for self-leadership that has impacted my life, as well as tips for building better relationships. It will help you to balance your scale at home, or at least point out what is tipping your scale.
10 Principles:
1. “Different strokes for different folks”
2. “BRAVING”
3. “Monkey see, monkey do”
4. The person in the mirror
5. “Begin with the end in mind”
6. “The long-term perspective”
7. Walk in someone else’s shoes
8. Forgive, forget or forego
9. R-E-S-P-E-C-T
